4. Can fiber laser cut PVC?
Although polyvinyl chloride (PVC) can in fact be cut with laser, the thermal process produces hydrochloric acid and toxic fumes. For this reason, we advise you not to use laser for cutting PVC in order to prevent corrosion of your laser system and to ensure the safety of the machine operator.
5. Does fiber laser need gas?
During the fiber laser cutting process, an assist gas blows through a nozzle on the laser cutting head. How much gas is needed can vary, but it's generally a small amount.
6. What Cannot be cut by laser?
Materials you should not process with a laser.
